Chapter 7 Success Lawyers Chicago - Bad Financial Habits

Bad Financial Habits

What you do after you file the bankruptcy is very important. If you get into the same bad habits of obtaining payday loans, of incurring medical expenses with no insurance, of getting involved in autos that you can’t possibly afford that wind up getting repossessed and sold at a deficiency, all you’re going to do is negatively impact your credit report, beyond the fact they you have already filed bankruptcy.
So, in other words, you’re going to be a higher risk in the future. So the trick is, be perfect if you can after you file the bankruptcy and remedy some of those problems that caused you to file in the first place. For example, if you didn’t have health insurance and that was the main cause of your filing, look into getting it either privately or through an employer. If you had an auto repossession on a vehicle that you just couldn’t afford, think about what vehicle you’re buying the second time around and what that monthly payment is. Additionally, cut out anything that is not a necessity, lottery, cigarettes, gambling; that stuff has to stop.
Just a matter of tightening up the belt.
Absolutely.
